The Curing Rhythm

In today’s world, nearly every single aspect of our lives is affected by this otherworldly realm that is music, which plays an important role not only in entertainment but in medicine. In fact, music can heal people.

Some people claim that music is just an artistic expression which evokes a wide variety of emotions but does not provide any side effect that can actually cure people’s diseases.

However, there are some scientists who gazed into the “placebo” effect that music develops in patients who are exposed to painful treatments. In fact, music helps them by changing their mood and their disposition toward being treated in that way.

To sum up, there are lots of benefits that music can provide if it is used in the right way and despite the fact that it is an emotion evoker, there is no doubt that they are necessary in the process of being healthy. From my point of view, great changes can occur with a little switch on our daily soundtracks.

C Minor

Music set up as an otherworldly experience into my life and the way it introduced to my daily routine was pretty funny. It all started when I was fourteen and it was not easy.

I was invited to be part of the current rock band of a classmate and a friend of mine. I was astonished by what they asked to me: Hey buddy! Do you want to come and join us? I want you play the bass-guitar! I said yes immediately but I’ve forgotten something very important: I’ve never played a string instrument and also I didn’t have one.

After a couple of months, my father bought me a beautiful 4-string bass, a standard model, perfect for beginners as a birthday gift. Finally and after lots of practice sessions we had our first gig and it was horrible! I was so nervous because I was in front of a lot of people, all of them were expecting for the show to begin. Our first song was a complete disaster; some people shouted at us GO AWAY! YOU ARE HORRIBLE! But we solved that and the rest of our performance was unexpectedly great! when people sing the songs while you are playing, you're not just hearing it, but feeling it the vibrations through the air, the ground and excited people who are enjoying the show.

I think to do something that you feel in your heart that is great; you need to make a lot of mistakes to get there. Anything that I think is successful is a series of mistakes and words can never express even a fragment of what this was like! In fact, I consider Music almost like the air that I breathe daily, the blood that pumps through my veins and keeps me alive. So without it I don’t know what I would do.
